Asthma is a disease that affects the airways of breath which carry air to and from lungs.The inner walls of an asthmatic’s airways are inflamed or swollen because of which breathing problem along with other symptoms take place.

1. Ginger
Ginger makes a best natural treatment for asthma. It can help in reducing airway inflammation and inhibit airway contraction. So, one should eat ginger in their diet. One can opt for ginger tea and it can be taken along with honey.

2. Mustard oil
Mustard oil works amazingly effective in controlling asthma symptoms. Mustard oil massage to the patient of asthma helps to clear the respiratory passages and restore normal breathing.Heat mustard oil with a small quantity of camphor and then transfer it in a bowl. Now gently rub this oil on chest.

3. Figs
The figs have various types of nutritional properties which help in promoting respiratory health,drain phlegm and alleviate breathing problems.Wash three dried figs and put them into cup for soaking it for overnight. Next morning, eat soaked figs and also drink water on empty stomach.

4. Garlic
The garlic makes effective wonderful home remedy for asthma. It helps in clearing congestion from our lungs during the early stages of asthma. One can have in daily diet or can be taken 2 pods daily early in the morning empty stomach.
1. Boil 2-3 cloves in one cup of milk.
2. At room temperature, allow it to cool and then drink it.

5. Coffee
Coffee can help in controlling asthma attacks.It acts as a bronchodilator. Hot coffee helps in relaxing and clearing the airways so that patient can breathe easier.

6. Eucalyptus Oil
Pure eucalyptus oil is beneficial for asthma because it has decongestant properties. It found that in pure eucalyptus oil there is active compound called eucalyptol which helps in breaking up mucus. One can take steam out of it by mixing few drops in boiled water.

7. Honey
Honey is one of the best natural cures for asthma. Mix one teaspoon of honey into a glass of warm water and drink it every morning.Before going to bed, take one teaspoon of honey with half teaspoon of cinnamon powder that will help in removing phlegm from throat.

8. Onions
Onions are packed with best anti-inflammatory properties. It can help in reducing constriction of the airways in asthma case. Onions have sulphur in it that helps in decrease inflammation in the lungs. So, one should eat raw onion in their diet regularly.

9. Lemons
Lemons are rich in vitamins and antioxidants that can help reduce asthma symptoms.People with asthma often have low levels of vitamin C.One should drink regularly lemons juice as it boost up immune system. If symptoms aggravates, better avoid.

10. Carom Seeds
Carom seeds are alsoknown as ajwain.These can help in treating mild asthma symptoms. These are bronchodilator in actions.
• Boil one teaspoon of carom seeds in water and inhale the steam.
• Heat caromseeds and wrap in a piece of cotton cloth and this warm cloth should be place on chest and neck. Repeat daily for better results.
• Roast few carom seeds and mix jiggery. Take one teaspoons of this daily.
